Fau Ferdinand - Yoshikaze's New Artist-in-Residence

Yoshikaze is pleased to announce Fau Ferdinand as our next artist-in-residence. Fau has been a well-known SL artist and, as the co-director of odyssey, one of the driving forces of artists' community in Second Life.

She will occupy our Yoshikaze studio from 15 September to 30 November, during which she will be exploring:

The persona as a battle field of conflicting ideas and  the avatar as a representation of these conflicts.
Documentation of the learning process of external tools and the creation of a video art piece, being both sides of the camera.

We look forward to wonderful works she will be producing at the Yoshikaze studio during her residency.

Fau Ferdinand:

2004 – Joined Second Life, opened own digital paintings gallery – “p’ART’icle  Accelerator”

2006 – Joined Odyssey. took part at first “Exhibit A” group exhibition live performance, “All N00bs Are Sailors”, at Notice Gallery, London,  then later at Vancouver LIVE biennial  of performance art.

Joined “Second Front”, an acclaimed performance art group based in Second Life.

2007 to 2009 –  Second Front performs extensively

Worked with Berardo Carboni,  an Italian film director on a feature length machinima “VolaVola”.

2010 – on going -  Odyssey co - director and co -curator with Lizsolo Mathilde
